Chaos

This collection takes on a light-hearted approach to the pressures faced by modern society, such as the climate crisis and civil unrest. The pieces attempt to bring a sense of joy and hope despite these things faced in the form of amulets and tokens of luck, however, they could also be perceived as panic buttons for life. The pieces are made from biodegradable two-tone iridescent 3D printed PLA material. Alongside this printed aluminium is used throughout with marbled patterns created by distorted collages of mixed media through analogue and digital methods. These materials allow the pieces to have large volumes but are deceptively lightweights.
