Laurie Carter

My work attempts to amplify natural processes and phenomena occurring in the everyday. Staging interactions between familiar objects, I frame the ‘inanimate’ as a vibrant force, acting within its environment. Reactions between sound, light and water measure out intervals of time, whilst drawing attention to the hypnotic qualities of repetition.
