Communication Design School of Design

Vivien Logan

I am a multi-disciplinary designer currently based in Edinburgh. Coming from an industry-focused course in Perth, Western Australia, GSA has allowed me to explore more conceptual ways of thinking, and how to apply this to my work. I have developed a passion for layout design and typography throughout the course and have also developed my skills in typesetting. This has encouraged me to be more dynamic and bold in my approach to design.

My Type Of Book

Typography Book Club

A publication designed to influence and inform readers on particular typography books. With information on each book and a selection of reviews.

Reform Branding

Reform: Sustainable Fashion Workshops

Branding project for a fictional event that would be hosted during COP26. The workshops are designed to inform and educate consumers about sustainable fashion and how to mend ‘reform’ clothing they already have.

Glyph Series

‘& What do you know about’ Glyph Series

This project I decided to create a mini series of books focusing on different glyphs, starting with the Ampersand. Each book would discuss the history and the origins behind that particular glyph and when it should be used.
