Instagrammable Interiors

For my graduate collection I drew inspiration from the art of light and illusions. Focusing my attention on the buzz around glow in the dark amusements within the interior space. By combining this with everyday shadows I was able to show both positive and negative shapes which I transformed into a neon glow. I aimed to incorporate digital and physical drawing methods through layering to capture bold line, texture, and colour. Which I translated into woven textiles through varies structures and yarn qualities. My intent was to create a multifunctional series of fabrics that can take any entertainment space from day to night using ultraviolet lighting. As well as making installations that could be used for the events of my initial research.
